Mary T. Mathis, age 77 of Hempstead, passed away on July 2, 2002. Mrs. Mathis is preceded in death by her parents, James and Judith Crowhurst; sister, Lucy Wallingford; brothers, Jerome Crowhurst, and James Perry Crowhurst; and first husband, Marshall Peters. She is survived by her husband, Woodrow Mathis; sons, James Herman Peters and wife Cindy, Vernon Thomas Peters and wife Tammy; daughter, Frances Wegner and husband Damon; step children, Woodrow Mathis Jr. and wife Debbie, Johnnie Mathis and wife Jo Anne; grandchildren, Teri Packer, Lori, Megan, and Stacy Wegner, Holley and Brianna Peters; step grandchildren, Michael Mathis, Jason Mathis, Melissa Rodriguez, Leah Mathis, and Joshua Mathis; and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, July 5, 2002 from 5 – 8pm at Canon Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 6, 2002 at 10:00am at Canon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors E. M. Darneal and Ron Brening officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. |
