April 8, 1910 Mr. C.H. MurrowTulsa, Okla.Dear Sir:Dr. A.M. Wallingford of Mt. Carmel, Ky has inclosed your letter to me of the31 ultimo, inquireing after the family of Samuel Hull deceased, and inresponse to same I take pleasure in furnishing you such information as in mypossession. My mother was a daughter of Samuel Hull. Samuel Hull was born inthe State of New Jersey near the Maryland shore. I do not know what county,neither am I able to secure the name of his father or mother.His father and mother moved with their family from the State of New Jersey toMason Co, Kentucky, when he was a small boy, where he lived the remandier ofhis life. It is my information that the father of Samuel Hull was bueried atMayslick Mason County, Ky. I do not know where or not his grave is marked.I think Samuel Hull and Sarah Wallingford intermarried in either Mason orFleming county about the year 1810. Sarah Hull, nee Wallingford, mygrandmother was born and reared in Fleming Co, Kentucky. Samuel Hull andSarah Hull his wife had born to their marriage the following children:James Harvey Hull, Malinda Hull who married Joseph Thornton Wallingford, MaryB Hull, my mother who married Richard Power. Matilda Hull, who married JoshuaT Power, Clarinda Hull, who married William Cooper, Isaac V. Hull, W.W. Hullwho married Jeremiah Prather, Elizabeth Hull who married John R. Bean andSarah Hull who married James Jones.I am unable to give you the date of birth and date of death of any of theforegoing persons, except my mother. My mother was born August 6, 1815 anddied August 20, 1894. it is possible that the family bible of my grandfatherwould probably furnish you with considerable information as to the births anddeaths of these people, is in the possession of Mrs. Molly Hull, whose P.O.address is Laweranceburg, Anderson Co, Kentucky. She is my aunt by marriagehaveing married, Isaac V. Hull, a brother of my mother. This is all theinformation I am able to furnish.Very truly yours,J.H. PowerP.S. My father, Richard Power was born Sept 27, 1814 and married Mary B.Hull, my mother, December 20, 1838, and died May 6, 1866.
