She was born April 5, 1923 to William Jasper Scroggins and Addie Lee Hosea in Waller. She attended First Baptist Church in Mildred and later, after moving to Heritage Oaks Retirement Village, she attended Grace Community Church. Mrs. Bell was a homemaker most of her life and worked as a seamstress for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughters, Glenda Sanders and Brenda Hamlin; grandsons, Kevin Lee Williams, Cody Hardcastle, and Micheal Martin; and great-granddaughter, April Bryant. Survivors include daughters, Wanda Hudson and husband Troy, and Debra Holloway and husband Gary, all of Corsicana; son, Tommy DeWayne Hardcastle of Willis; sisters, Verna Gyger of Prairie Lee, Edith Shipley of Hempstead, and Annie Ruth Merlo of Austin; brother, Charles Scroggins of Waller; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at Corley Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Steve Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the general fund at Grace Community Church, 227 N. Beaton, Corsciana, Texas 75110. Lois Inez Scroggins Bell, 87, passed away Nov. 16, 2010, at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana.
