Bricklayer Wallace Robertson entered the United States Army, July 22, 1942, and served 39 months on detached Stateside duties. He never got overseas because of infection from an injury received in the army just before he was due to ship out. On release from Brooke's General Hospital in 1944, he was assigned to the Prisoner of War camp at Alva, Oklahoma. He completed his duties in October of 1945, and was discharged from the service October 4, 1945, at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He is 39 years old, married and has a sweet little 12 year-old daughter.
