Notarized document from W.T. [William Thomas] Montgomery when he was in San Antonio, transcribed by Megan Montgomery: "Before me, the subscriber, a notary public in and for Bexar County, State of Texas, personally appeared William Thomas Montgomery, who being duly sworn, deposes and says that he is eighty-eight years of age and that he originally moved to the State of Texas from The State of Tennessee. "And that he furthermore says that his Father's name was John David Montgomery and that his Monther's name was Susie Elizabeth Williams Montgomery. And that they resided at Brownsville, Haywood County, Tennessee. "And he furthermore says that the said John David and Susie Elizabeth Montgomery had a son born to them at Brownsville, Tennessee on January 18, 1885. He further states that the above son was named John Head Montgomery and that he died at Weimar, Texas on March 5, 1957. "He further states that he knows of his own knowledge that John Head Montgomery married Nancy Leona Insall on May 1, 1911 at Weimar, Colorado County, Texas. "He further states that the above union had one child, born December 14, 1919 and that his name is Jack H. [Henry] Montgomery married Martha Lydia Juntunen on November 24,1944 at La Jolla, State of California. And that two children were born from this union namely: Nancy Ann Montgomery, born September 5, 1945, and John William Montgomery, born August 26, 1948.
