The Holt Cemetery is located on approximately 2 acres of land that was donated by L.A. and M.E. Hardman in 1909 to form a family type cemetery. These two acres are approximately 2 miles south of Holt, TX. Directions: From San Saba, go west on Highway 190. On the west side of Richland Springs, turn right (north) on Marion Street, a block before the school. This street will turn west after several blocks and change to County Road 204 (dirt road) going west out of Richland Springs. Follow this road, taking County Road 256 (dirt road) when it branches from County Road 204. You will still be going west. Turn north on County Road 266. Continue on this dirt road for several miles. Turn west at the intersection of County Road 272. Go about 1/2 mile. The Holt Cemetery is on the north side of this road. A short rock entrance was donated by the Elizabeth Germany Estate and built in 1987 with a double swinging gate. This gate replaced an old wire fence entrance. |
