San Antonio Express, 20 November 1911. Lester and Reese were members of a hunting party that brought back one of the biggest deer seen in West Texas. It weighed 169 (possibly 189 - print is unclear) dressed and estimated at 200 pounds undressed. The antlers, 10 points, were to be presented to the Elk Lodge of San Angelo. In the hunting party were Lester and Reese Ogg, E. N. Daniel, Will Vining, R. C. Ledford and Orland Sims. |
