Victoria County, Texas EL CAMPO - Ruby Mae Powers of El Campo, formerly of Plantersville, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at the age of 96. She was born on Jan. 1, 1911, to the late John and Edna Ogg Hafer in Montgomery County. She is survived by her son, Dr. Darrell Powers and wife Marilyn of Palacios [Matagorda County, Texas]; brother, Jack Hafer of Plantersville; sister, Opal Schild of Waller; grandchildren, Michael W. Powers, Steve Powers, John Powers, April Graves, and Stacey Vesely; and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Ray Powers; and brother, Leroy Hafer. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2007 at Triska Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to donors choice. Triska Funeral Home, El Campo, 979-543-3681.
