Obituary from El Campo Leader: Ruby Mae Powers, 96, of El Campo, formerly of Plantersville, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007. She was born on Jan. 1, 1911 to John and Edna Ogg Hafer in Montgomery County. Survivors include her son, D.R. Powers of Palacios; brother, Jack Hafer of Plantersville; sister, Opal Schild of Waller; five grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Ray Powers; and brother, Leroy Hafer. Memorial services will be held Sunday, July 8 at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Rick DuBroc officiating at Triska Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to donors choice. |

She was born on Jan. 1, 1911, to the late John and Edna Ogg Hafer in Montgomery County. She is survived by her son, Dr. Darrell Powers and wife Marilyn of Palacios [Matagorda County, Texas]; brother, Jack Hafer of Plantersville; sister, Opal Schild of Waller; grandchildren, Michael W. Powers, Steve Powers, John Powers, April Graves, and Stacey Vesely; and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Ray Powers; and brother, Leroy Hafer. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2007 at Triska Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to donors choice. |
