When I was young - about 1960 I think it might have been - we took a trip up the East Coast. We attended the Wallingford Reunion that was held in Maysville, and visited the old cemetery where some of the Wallingford's were buried.
I remember seeing the tombstone of Nicholas, and there is a photo somewhere of us standing beside it. It was pretty over-grown with weeds and poison ivy, as I remember.
The inscription (this written later - not from my memories of the visit!) was:
His race was swift, His rest is sweet; His views divine; His bliss complete. His song sublime, His transports swell; His state eternal, God his all.
