Mary Alyce Adams, 66, of Kirbyville died Friday, January 14, 2000, at her residence. Funeral services were held 11:00 A. M. Monday, January 17, at Call United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Danny Lewis, Rev. Hardy Droddy, and Rev. Huey Royer officiating. Burial was at Friendship Cemetery. Pallbearers were Calvin Barnett, Leonard Barnett, Mark Grissom Michael Roberts, Jimmy Denby, and Lloyd R. Woods. Services were under the direction of E. E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville. Born January 13, 1934 in Burkeville, Newton County, Texas to John M. Ogg and Estelle Dickerson Ogg, she was reared in Newton Texas and attended school in Newton. She had resided in Kirbyville 40 years. She is survived by her husband, Alton Adams of Kirbyville; one son, Gary Adams and wife Jill of Normangee; one daughter Connie Susan Olds and husband Dwayne of Kirbyville; one grandson, Marvin Olds; two granddaughters, Courteney Olds and Keisha Harris; two brothers, Jerry Griggs of China Texas and Hughey Griggs of Newton; and four sisters, Verline Heitman of Seven Points Texas, June Quarles of Kirbyville, Annie Sue Ogg Grissom of Kirbyville, and Dollie Jo Droddy of LeCamp Louisiana. |
