Comments: Givens was appointed by the Fleming Co., KY Circuit Court in the action in Equity, pending of Jackson P. Rogers against William R. Denton and others. At the March Term 1860 a judgement was rendered by which, among many other things, it was adjudged that a sale should be made of so much of the land mentioned and described in the pleadings as might be necessary to raise the sum of $238.55 with interest from 8 Jun 1858 until paid and his (Rogers?) costs. John W. Dulin was appointed to make the sale at the courthouse door in Flemingsburg. It was offered on
23 Apr 1860 to anyone who would take the least number of acres and pay the debt. Daniel Johnson became the purchaser.
