Shared note
|
Based on a letter from her husband Hiram to his brother Thomas Ginn, Hannah had some sort of 'attack of paralysis' somewhere in the early 1880's. By 1882, she had recovered somewhat, more than Hiram had thought she would, but was still quite infirm by the wording of the letter. |

Hiram and family were living in in District 3, Fleming County, Kentucky, in 1860. He and his wife have four children, the oldest of whom (John N.) is also listed as a 'merchant', the same as his father. |

In 1882, Hiram and Hannah were living with their son, John, probably due to the 'attack of paralysis' that Hannah had experienced. Hiram wrote that they had been there for a year at the time (September 1882), and that he had not sold the house he had lived in the previous 16 years. In that letter to his brother Thomas Ginn, he said that they expected to remain with John for another year or so. |
