MARIE OTILIA MARIE OTILIA A COLLACO WALLINGFORD, born May 28, 1909 in Shanghai, China, passed away January 11, 2000 at her son's residence in Houston. She is preceded in death by her husband George T. "Wally" Wallingford of Hempstead and her sisters and brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia "Charlie" M. Elliott of San Antonio, her son, Eugene R. "Bob" Wallingford and his wife Lee of Houston, nine grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Ruth Collaco of Berkley, Ca. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Marie came to Hempstead, Texas from her homeland in 1945. She was gifted in many languages and after becoming a U. S. citizen she went to work for the U. S. Government in Foreign Service. She traveled extensively and retired to Houston, Texas 1977. Her memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 22, 2000, Brookside Funeral Chapel. |
