Services Tuesday For Longtime Resident

Services for Thomas Alex Heflin, 73, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Earthman Chapel Burial.

Heflin, a Baytown resident 45 years, died Sunday at his home,* 3208 Nebraska.

A well-known civic worker, Heflin was active for many years in the Knights of Pythias. He also was a member of Grace Methodist Church and was retired from Exxon's Baytown Refinery where he was lieutenant of the guards.

The congenial resident had many friends and one of his favorite hobbies was people --visiting with them and helping whenever needed.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Inez Heflin,** retired city employee; a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Herold of Aiken, SC; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Pat Gilbert of Streetman; two sisters, Mrs. Susie Wallingford of Baytown and Mrs. Hattie Thompson of Navasota; two brothers, LeRoy Heflin of Hempstead and Michel Heflin of El Campo.

Burial will be in Alexander Cemetery in Bryan.
