from Lucille Clepper Mehrkam AAFA #0032, Member AAFA Hall of Fame (AAFA Action #53 - Getting to Know Our Ancestors, pages 29 and following): Harry "Big Harry" Alford said his grandfather married three times, he was a little Scotchman, wore a patch over one eye, and traveled between MS and Texas. The last time he saw his grandfather was at the funeral of his brother, Julius Peachman Alford on 28 March 1901. |
